Cricket   is   not   just   a   game    for the country of   India. It is just like an  emotion , love and feeling for the country . And the most love in the country comes at the time of INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE or IPL.  During IPL thousands of people enjoys match at the stadium and millions of people from home.

The IPL starts every year in the month of April or May . The IPL is the league with most fans following worldwide. 13 year ago IPL started in India. From entertainment to controversy this league had seen everything.

Today I will tell you a little story of IPL and some facts. On 13 September 2007 BCCI had announced that we will stare our own T20 league. Which will be named as INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE? The master mind of IPL was Lalit Modi  the chairman of BCCI . Initially 8 teams participated in the IPL. RCB , MI, CSK , RR , KX1P, KKR , DC and DD.  IPL was started to bring out the young talent of our country . That is why only four foreign players  plays out of 11 players in a match from single team. IPL  became very famous in its first  season only .

 IPL gave a lot of happiness to all the cricket lovers in India . But in 2015 due to match fixing many teams and players were accused . In which three players got lifetime banned from IPL they are Shreesanth , Ajit  chandila  and Ankeet  chav. But the the news is that the 2 big franchises CSK and RR got banned for 2 years. They are replaced by RPS and GL . After two year CSK and RR returned to IPL .

RR , DC and SRH had won IPL once. KKR won the cup twice CSK won three times and the best team MI had won the IPL cup 4 times .

1.   Pakistani players also participated in the first season of IPL . But later Pakistani players were banned.

2. Parthiv  Patel is the player who had played for the most different teams .

3. CSK is the only team who has not changed its captain from beginning.

4. Zaheer  Khan is the only cricketer  who had played 1st  and 500th match of IPL .

5. Amit Mishra is the only player who had taken hat-trick while playing from three different teams.

6. Delhi is the team who has not played the final of IPL till date .

7.Pravin kumar bowled the first over of IPL and he had bowled most maiden over in IPL till now.

8.The record of fastest fifty is with KL RAHUL , who hit half century in just 14 balls .

9.The record of fastest 100 is with Chris Gayle in just 30 balls .

10. Sachin Tendulkar considered the God of cricket , was the first player to receive an IPL orange cap .

11. Chris Gayle and David Warner are the player who had received  orange cap twice .
 
12. Bhuvneshwar  kumar  and Dwayne Bravo are the player to receive purple cap twice in IPL .

13. Chris Gayle holds the record for most centuries and David Warner holds the record for most half centuries .

14. The highest individual score in IPL is 175 by Chris Gayle and most man of the match record is with him only .

15. Lasith Malinga is the highest wicket taker in IPL .
